Random Facts / Pieces of Information about me.

Hello everybodyyyy!

Hahaha I am here laughing to myself because I cannot just jump into a blog post I always have to say something or justify a situation before.

Anywho, apologies again for the lack of posts – the last six / seven weeks has had a lot going on but now that everything is settling I can get back into things.

I thought it would be fun to do a random facts tag!! Warning – these go from 0-100.

I feel like if I start with a few and continue some other time in another blog it would make more sense as to be honest, I’ll elaborate and everyone will leave the post after the first two point’s #realtalk

Cringe? Maybe.

Interesting? Could be.

An excuse for a blog post? Absolutely.

  1. Full Name?

Alisha Ann Kristen Houlihan.

The name ‘Alisha’ – “Variant of Alice, a name that has evolved through a series of variants of the Germanic Adalheidis, a compound name composed of the elements adal (noble, nobility) and heid (kind, sort): hence, “noble one.

Fun fact – My confirmation name ‘Kristen’ is Greek for ‘Cristina’ or ‘Chrissy’ (my mother’s name).

2) Zodiac sign?

I was born on the 24th of October 1996, therefore a Scorpio.

“The great strength of the Scorpio-born is in their determination, passion and motivation. Scorpios don’t know the word quit, which is why they usually get the job done, a power-house? Like no other.”

Shoutout to my Scorpios out there.

3) My favourite movie?

My favourite movie of all time is the Titanic. A classic in my eyes.

My mother told me that when I was between the ages 4-10, I would sit on the couch and she would play the Titanic for me because I used to cry for Jack (it was also her method at keeping me quiet for four hours).

I can’t even count how many times I have seen it, no matter how many times I watch the film, it will never get old.

If you ever suggest to me ‘we could watch the Titanic’ I would be one content and happy gal.

4) My favourite music / song?

Okay I have a lot of favourite songs; current favourites, golden but olden and just songs to suit the mood in different life scenarios and situations.

I have favourites such as trap soul or just rap when I am riding the wave with my people and getting ready for something.

I listen to soft and acoustic music in the evenings when I am at home and I love a good chart song when I’m in the club. My music taste is quite varied.

However, I song I will always love is ‘Elvis Presley – I can’t help falling in love.’

No memories or anything really stick to me with this song. I just find it so lovely and moving.

My interpretation is that the song is about moving forward, a river does this – it moves on toward the sea.  ‘Staying’ would be a ‘sin’ because it has no movement. Dynamic people live a life that continues to change and grow.

Love is such a powerful thing – the song itself has the lyrics and melody to make it so universal.

5) Three things that make me happy?

Puppers and Doggos (preferably pugs are my favourite puppies / dogs but all friendly ones are adorable.)

Planning – having something to look forward to. Whether that be being accepted to some sort of youth conference and know I am going to travel, a trip or day away with my friends or just the thought of knowing I am going to meet up with someone and go for a walk. I hate hate haaaaaate sitting at home during my spare time doing nothing.

Me time’ – okay yes that is hypocritical; as I just said I hate doing nothing but I mean literally bored out of my brain when I know on a lovely day I could be doing something.

Sometimes there is nothing I love more though and that makes me happy then being on my own – I love travelling with headphones in on my own. Napping. Chilling with my dog. Etc.

I love being with and being surrounded by people but I also love some lisha space.

6) My relationship with my parents?

I have been brought up by my single mother ever since I was little. My mom is my absolute favourite person on this earth and I honestly do not know what I would do without her.

Always from a young age, I have been taught to treat people with respect, have manners and never assume what someone else is going through.

I can see that Chrissy (my mumma) has gone to the end of the earth to make sure I have the same opportunities my friends with better situations would have had.

My mother has a partner now and has done so for a good few years now – I can see the love and I know its forever, he treats me like a little princess and one of his own, which I will be eternally grateful for them both.

I aim for the stars and all else above to show her that everything she works hard for, will be worth it.

Yes I am the youngest of nine (some may say I am spoilt and get everything handed to me) but that’s not true, I have always had to share and work hard, partially the reason why today I am so open-minded and put myself out there for every opportunity possible.

7) Favourite food?

Chicken.

(Preferably, I love wings.)

(I hope this doesn’t upset veggies) but in a salad, as a roast it is honestly the best of the best and I love chicken. (I really laughed writing this one).

8) Do I believe in second chances?

Of course, 100%.

I believe that nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes.

Everyone deserves an opportunity to start-over and make amends.

(Just make sure it is not the fourth / fifth chance.)

9) Pets?

I have one little doggy, her name is Molly.

Molly is a Pomeranian / German Spitz dog.

This little baby is about eight years of age.

I got her when I was in second year at secondary school, she is a little amigo of mine and I love her dearly.

***Standard outro of blog post due here***

Love always!
