Happy Monday morning people.
Welcome everyone to my blog and Happy New Year!
2019.
To be honest, in the last few months at home I have learned a lot, one of those things is to embrace every day as a new one.
That is the way I like to look at a ‘new year’, using it as a new day but an even bigger excuse to focus on your mini goals and to smash them.
It is hard to avoid the clichés however and not make ‘New Year’s resolutions’.
How do you stick to them?
- Stay silent.
Of course, when you speak about a goal out loud, you would think that it would hold you accountable to keep them on track.
However, in my opinion I think if you keep your goals to you until you feel like you are making progress, you will have better results.
Also, when you keep your targets to a low volume at the beginning, the pressure is not as intense, and you can go at your own pace. It is about little by little each day, you will notice yourself improving big time.
2) Balance.
If we break a resolution (for example, eating healthier) –we tend to give up at the first hurdle.
As I said above, it is about little changes each day, things do not change overnight. It takes consistency and motivation, all which comes hand in hand as you see results, the motivation follows.
Other examples may be to travel more, read more often or spend more time with family. No goal is too big or too small.
3) Stay in your own lane.
Understandably, it is key to follow people who motivate you and help you achieve missions.
But in saying that, the world we live in is becoming a lot more technology orientated with social media, so things can look very different on a screen.
Yes, someone else’s life may look fantastic online, their bodies may be A1, or they may portray to be one of the most Zen people on this planet.
However, they are human’s too and have their own issues. Said influencer worked hard to get to where they are so you must remember that.
Try to focus on you and not to compare your tasks and intentions to another individuals; your mindset and how you would like to go about a certain situation because everyone is different. You are authentic.
Whatever your goals may be, I wish you the best of luck this year. 2019 is the year of constant strive and good vibes.
Any opportunity you are given this year, apply or take the chance.
If you like somebody, ask them out on a date. Shoot your shot, the worst thing is that you could get a rejection and honestly in the grand scheme of things, that is not a lot in comparison to having nothing at all.
Just remember even if you fail tomorrow morning – try again.
Remember that no goal is stupid.
Finally, life can be tough, be nice to yourself but just remember why you wish to change and work on the things in your life.
I promise you, if you radiate positive vibes and hard work, the rest will follow. Tomorrow is a new one and the fact that you are trying to work on you that is what matters the most.
Love,
Lisha. x
